Captain Rick Hoffman is a distinguished leader, entrepreneur, and veteran dedicated to advancing excellence in defense training and leadership development. As the Founder and CEO of Orion Solutions, LLC, Rick leads a team that trains active-duty sailors to master the weapons systems, sensors, and tactical operations that defend our nation’s ships and crews. With more than 22 years in the defense industry and a decorated career in the U.S. Navy, his expertise bridges the gap between sea service and modern defense innovation.
Following his retirement from the Navy, Rick founded Orion Solutions to continue serving those who serve—helping the next generation of sailors sharpen their skills in tactics, training, and operational readiness. Known for building a culture of performance and integrity, his company has earned a reputation for excellence by hiring exceptional talent, delivering superior results, and maintaining long-term partnerships with major defense organizations.
Beyond his company, Rick is deeply engaged in his community. He serves on the boards of the North Florida Land Trust and the Chesapeake Legal Alliance, and is a past chair of the University of North Florida Student Affairs Community Council, where he continues to guest lecture on leadership. He is also a life member of both the U.S. Navy League and the Surface Navy Association.
