About Visana HealthThe biggest healthcare failure of the last century is that we ignored an entire gender - WOMEN! Underfunded, under researched, dismissed and misdiagnosed for too long. Visana Health is a virtual women’s health clinic treating 90% of conditions outside of fertility and maternity, making us an ideal "wrap-around" for traditional maternity programs. Our MDs and NPs follow strict ACOG and Menopause Society protocols to provide high-quality care across all 50 states. We specialize in whole-person health for patients with multiple comorbidities and can serve as a primary medical home. (we are a start up, just completed our series A funding)
What differentiates you from the competition? We do not just treat the bikini parts, we treat the whole person. Our competitors either do coaching only for women's health concerns, or costly push supplements and GLP-1's for revenue. We rigorous clinical model w protocols for high quality care.
What are your top selling services or products that your company offers?Built by leading healthcare experts (Dr. Barbara Levy) and our founder who watched his own mother suffer (Joe Connolly) we are built to help every woman, regardless of health issues - be seen, heard and never dismissed.
If you had one message to get across to future customers, what would it be?To my fellow women who have been told to "just deal with it": You don't have to. There is a standard of care that sees you, hears you, and actually helps you thrive. At Visana Health, our mission is to end the "Delay and Dignity" crisis.
What is the biggest marketing challenge that you will face in the upcoming year?Becoming in network with more large national payers, market awareness for large self funded employers, scaling.

What innovations are improving patient care in your facility? Core Clinical Protocols and Standards
The Menopause Society (formerly NAMS) Guidelines: Visana adheres to the 2022 Menopause Society position statement, which emphasizes that Menopause Hormone Therapy (MHT) is the most effective treatment for vasomotor symptoms (VMS) and genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM).

ACOG Practice Bulletins: Our team follows the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) standards for managing chronic conditions like endometriosis and PCOS, ensuring that 78% of unnecessary surgeries are avoided through earlier, less invasive medical interventions.

Expert Oversight: Our clinical protocols are overseen by our Chief Medical Officer, Barbara Levy, MD, FACOG, FACS, a leading authority who was recently called upon by the FDA to serve on an expert panel re-evaluating the standards for MHT and brain health.

Anti-Racist and Equitable Care: The clinical model is built on “Equity by Design,” incorporating standardized, anti-racist protocols endorsed by ACOG to mitigate medical gaslighting and racial disparities in diagnosis and treatment.

Site-of-Service Optimization: Visana clinicians steer members toward high-quality, low-cost care, with 99% of labs processed at Quest/Labcorp and 96% of imaging performed at freestanding centers.

Clinical Delivery Model
45-Minute Consultations: Unlike traditional 10-minute PCP visits, Visana provides extensive time for clinicians to “close the loop” on data, interpretation, and personalized care plans.

Multidisciplinary Approach: Our clinicians work in a “closed-loop” system that integrates testing, diagnosis, and treatment for conditions such as endometriosis, PCOS, and chronic pelvic pain.

How are you using data or AI to improve health outcomes? AI is incorporated into our clinical and operational workflows to reduce duplicative work, incorporate our rigid clinical protocols in all aspect of care (AI is in our workflow, our EMR and back room ops tech stack)

What challenges are you facing post-pandemic? Demand for care, high incidences of women either being dismissed or misdiagnosed or women just gave up and haven’t seen anyone in years. It’s sad.

How do you ensure compassionate care across all departments? Weekly huddles to go through patient feedback. It’s our north start to fundamentally help women.

What’s your outlook on the future of healthcare delivery? It’s bright. Technology coupled with thought leadership, grit and heart. We all will make it better.
