Project Human Inc. (PHInc.)
What is the core mission of your organization? Project Human Inc. (PHInc.) exists to save human lives by bridging the gap between mental and emotional health through peer-to-peer advocacy, practical education, and creative community experiences—so humans feel seen, supported, and able to take the next step.
How are you creating measurable social impact? We create measurable impact by building consistent programs with trackable participation and outcomes. Through Monthly Community Conversations (MCC), Quarterly Mental Health Days (QMHD), and C.A.R.E. workshops, we track attendance, resource distribution, volunteer hours, and simple pre/post feedback on tools learned and actions taken. We also document reach through podcast/download data, website traffic, and community partnerships—turning conversation into repeatable, practical support that reduces isolation and increases access to resources.
What challenges are you addressing in your local community? We’re addressing isolation, stigma, and lack of practical mental health support—especially for caregivers, mothers, service members, and working professionals who carry a lot quietly. Many people don’t know where to turn or feel safe reaching out. PHInc. builds human-first spaces and tools that connect people to resources, strengthen daily functioning, and create community belonging.
How do you build trust with the populations you serve? We build trust through consistency, dignity, and clarity. We show up regularly (MCC, QMHD, workshops), keep the space human-first and respectful, and never pressure people to share more than they want. We’re transparent that we’re peer-to-peer advocates—not clinicians—and we focus on practical tools, resource navigation, and community partnerships. Most importantly, we listen, follow through, and protect the mission so people know they’re safe here.
What collaborations or partnerships have been most effective? The most effective partnerships have been local, mission-aligned collaborations that combine space, expertise, and community reach. Working with organizations like Here Tomorrow (suicide prevention resources), NAMI Jacksonville (education and peer support), and local businesses/venues that provide in-kind support has helped us create real access—events, resources, and content that meet people where they are. These partnerships work because they’re human-first, practical, and built for long-term relationship, not one-time visibility.
How are you using storytelling to raise awareness? We use storytelling to make mental and emotional health relatable, human, and actionable. Through The Artist Within podcast, our documentary Define the Narrative, and community events like Runway to Resilience, we share real experiences with dignity—not shock value—and connect each story to practical tools and resources. The goal is to replace stigma with understanding and give people a clear next step.
What motivates your team to keep pushing forward? We don’t rely on motivation to keep us moving—motivation is subjective and fleeting. What keeps us going is discipline, purpose, and community accountability. We show up for each other, meet humans where they are, and use our PHInc. framework: P.S.A. — Pause in the situation, Shift our perspective, and Act according to the human need. That practice keeps us grounded, consistent, and focused on what matters most: building support that helps humans take the next step.
