About Jacksonville AthleticsAs Senior Associate Athletic Director of Sports Performance and Senior Woman Administrator at Jacksonville University, I lead strength and conditioning programming for women's lacrosse and volleyball while overseeing the women's golf and soccer programs. My role blends hands-on coaching with leadership in program development, budget management, and NCAA compliance. I'm committed to developing the whole athlete—not just building performance in competition, but preparing student-athletes for meaningful careers and leadership beyond their playing days. My approach combines evidence-based training with personalized athlete care, creating an environment where student-athletes can reach their full potential both on the field and in life.
What differentiates you from the competition?Jacksonville Athletics combines competitive Division I sports with personalized mentorship in an intimate setting. We're deeply connected to the Jacksonville community, offering real career networking and leadership development that prepares athletes
If you had one message to get across to future customers, what would it be?You'll compete at the Division I level while building real relationships and career connections. We're invested in your complete success—as an athlete and as a person. You matter here, on and off the field, and we'll prepare you for life after sports
What is the biggest marketing challenge that you will face in the upcoming year?Managing limited budget and time while trying to grow visibility for all of our programs and the Empower leadership initiatives. Getting the word out about what we're doing—especially our career networking events and athlete development opportunities

What role does teamwork play in your success? Teamwork is everything in our success. We can’t build championship-caliber programs alone—we rely on collaboration between sports performance staff, coaching staffs across multiple sports, athletic trainers, and administrative partners daily. The best results come when we’re all aligned on athlete development, communicating openly, and supporting each other’s expertise to serve our student-athletes well.

How do you stay motivated during tough seasons? My faith keeps me grounded during tough seasons. It reminds me that my worth isn’t tied to wins and losses, and that I’m called to serve these athletes well regardless of circumstances. When things get hard, I lean into scripture and prayer, trusting in God’s sovereignty—that He’s working all things for His glory and my good. That perspective helps me stay focused on what really matters—developing people, not just performance.

What advice do you have for young aspiring athletes? Find coaches and programs that care about you as a person, not just your performance. Work hard, stay coachable, and don’t be afraid to ask questions. Invest in your development off the field too—build relationships, explore career interests, and develop leadership skills. Your athletic career will end someday, but the character, work ethic, and connections you build will carry you for life. Stay grounded in what matters most and trust the process.

What’s your perspective on the evolving role of athletes in society? Athletes have always had influence, but now they have unprecedented platforms to lead and create real change. Today’s athletes are using their voices for causes they believe in, building businesses, and shaping culture beyond their sport. It’s exciting to see, but it also means we need to prepare student-athletes differently—not just physically, but with media literacy, financial knowledge, leadership skills, and a clear sense of purpose. The best programs recognize this shift and equip athletes to steward their influence well, both during and after their playing careers.
