I welcome into the Horse’s Mouth another edition right here at Tommy Mac’s at my bar, where everybody’s welcome to grab a seat and get a chance to tell their story. Brought to our good friends at Foodies Care, a great organization helping the people of Northeast Florida and of course, the Daily News Network. Talk a little technology, a little cybersecurity, a little nursing and a little whiskey.
Speaker 3
Yeah, it all goes together because we’re right here at Tommy Mac. So let’s welcome in the panel up first Andrew shot of rockets is here from Palo Alto Networks. How are you.
Speaker 4
I’m doing.
Speaker 3
Outstanding. First of all thank you for sponsoring the NFL alumni golf tournament. That’s happening in a couple weeks. We appreciate that.
Speaker 4
Thanks for the opportunity.
Speaker 3
Yeah, man. Absolutely. Tell us about Palo Alto. What you what you guys are up to. Yeah.
Speaker 4
Alto networks we’re the world’s largest cybersecurity firm. Pure security player okay. Focused on network security and and broadened out to cover, you know, account security, cloud security, security operations transformation. Yeah. Really? If you have a business, you have a business idea, you have a medical facility. You have things to protect.
Speaker 3
Absolutely.
Speaker 4
Property and ideas to protect it. Yep. That’s our business.
Speaker 3
That keeps you busy. And that’s got really. I know it’s always been there, right. But it seems like the past five, ten decade or so, like cyber security is huge, right. And it’s got to be because just like you said, people could steal stuff from me all the time.
Speaker 4
Yeah. And it’s evolving. Rapid drag, you know, to where time becomes the most important variable. Yeah. Ability to react and keep up with the way threats have evolved today. Yeah. The way I and and, threat actors around the world, nation state actors. Yep. They’re always looking to disrupt things. And, you know, we’re looking to defend our customers.
Speaker 4
Yeah.
Speaker 3
Most people that get in trouble, that they’re too curious, right? Like they click on the wrong thing. So we we ever be able to take human error? Look, it’s a human error. Causes it, right? Would you ever, ever will that ever know be able to take. You just gotta keep fighting that on the front line.
Speaker 4
Exactly 100%.
Speaker 3
Wow. That’s unbelievable.
Speaker 4
It’s a good time. Definitely high school.
Speaker 3
Yeah. Hey. Keeps you in business, right? That’s right. Yeah. No doubt about it. And you guys are in cybersecurity as well, right? Yeah. Victor, how are you? Great to have you just Campbell, how are you? Tell us about, guy point. Tell us about that first show you guys.
Speaker 5
Point security. We work very closely with companies like Palo Alto and 400 other partners throughout the country. Just and I work with enterprise clients really here in Jacksonville, Florida. But guide point as a whole, national cybersecurity company, advisory type firm. So we help our clients sort of navigate the maze of cybersecurity. What, what products, what technology, what services that they need.
Speaker 5
Yep. Make the best decisions, help implement that and then support it through their journey.
Speaker 3
And just is that based on what kind of business we’re talking they’ll have something different for everybody. Or is it kind of like one size? It’s not one size fits all. I know that, but is it how detailed is that per client?
Speaker 1
So we really come with more of a customized approach for our clients. Okay. Full spectrum of cybersecurity expertise. Well over half of our organization and workforce is technical expertise okay. So we can work for organizations of any different size. We do work with a lot of enterprises. We can work with mid to small companies. But if you have a cybersecurity challenge we’re going to come in and we’re gonna help you solve it okay.
Speaker 3
Yeah. Yeah. That’s got to be one of the scariest things for businesses. Right. Getting hacked. We had on ten other sports radio. Now it’s only Twitter but two of our, our main, hosts, their Twitter got hacked and like, gone. Wow. Just got like. And they’re trying to get it back and they can’t get it back. Right. Just by clicking on something that they should have clicked on.
Speaker 5
Yeah. Like I’ve said before, it’s always going to come down to human error, right? At some point.
Speaker 3
I mean, companies gotta drive that home. Don’t click on it. But then people are like, oh, what’s this? Then they get, you know, probably fooled a little bit thinking it’s from a good source and it ends up not being right. Yeah. Maybe something you’re I always check the email. Right. Because if you click on you’ll see it’s a funky email.
Speaker 3
I’m like get out of here. Yeah. You know because you get.
Speaker 5
To do it. They do a good job on like Andrew said, you’re you’re fighting the new threat actors all the time. You’re, you’re you’re literally fighting robots now. So I like to.
Speaker 3
Counterpunch kind of punch conflicts. Right. Yeah.
Speaker 1
So you the, so do the bad guys.
Speaker 3
Yeah. No doubt. No doubt. What? We’re going to get into the whiskey in just a minute. Let’s talk a little nursing. Spencer is here. Spencer, miles from Vista Health. How are you, Spencer?
Speaker 2
Doing well, in you.
Speaker 3
You’ve been down here seven years, is that correct? He said you’re from Indianapolis.
Speaker 2
You got.
Speaker 3
It. Okay. And you were a un, R.N.. I was, and now you’re in the business of telehealth for women’s needs. Is that correct?
Speaker 2
It is. And believe it or not, the greatest failure in health care over the last century is that we’ve done no research on women’s health. So we are a virtual women’s health clinic that focuses only on women’s needs. Yeah, not just the bikini farts, but even if they have multiple comorbidities, chronic conditions, we can okay the whole person.
Speaker 3
How bout when, you ladies get older? You know, you get the pair of pop, menopause and menopause, all that stuff. And with that.
Speaker 2
Oh, absolutely. That’s why I jumped from working for a fortune 30 to go work for this on it. Yeah, I went through perimenopause last year. I was having hot flashes, I couldn’t sleep, I didn’t like your husband. Yeah, right. I was irritable. Yeah. So I went and got treated. But when I went to my PCP, he basically dismissed me.
Speaker 2
He tapped me on the head and said, there’s nothing you can do. And I said, I’m going to change.
Speaker 3
Yeah, right. But my wife had a similar, experience. And the hormone, she’ll help a ton. But you got to get the right ones. You got to get.
Speaker 2
The right one. Right? You have the right provider that knows what they’re doing and.
Speaker 3
Told you I live with women dying. But it’s true, though, because if you don’t, it can go a little wonky.
Speaker 2
Absolutely. Hormones are the communicators in every body. Yep. Basically regulates everything within our system. Men included. Yeah. So when women’s hormones get regulated, we really have to take a targeted approach. And you have to make sure you have the right training. Yep. You’ve got the right knowledge to be able to do it safely.
Speaker 3
How about for men? What is it? What’s their problem? At age 35? Okay. Well let me call there.
Speaker 2
Right there is help for you.
Speaker 3
Yeah there.
Speaker 2
There.
Speaker 3
Is. Your startup you said are early stage.
Speaker 2
We are early. Okay. Google went through a series A, we saw 50,000 patients in the last year and a half. And we’re a network with two major payers right now. So my job is to get us in network with more payers. Yeah. And also target those large self with self-insured or self-funded clients.
Speaker 3
Wow. That’s fantastic. So you found your way and then you started to help all these women that need help. Yeah. That’s fantastic I love that and everybody deals with that. And that’ll be just, you know, menopause all that all throughout their lives. You know, you women, God they create you differently. That’s for damn sure. Spanner little bit different.
Speaker 3
You know, I’m not saying it better. I’m just say a different, that’s for sure. All right. Well, what’s the best part of what you guys do other than giving back to the community? What’s the best part? You do?
Speaker 4
I think helping people, you know, preserve their ideas, their their intellectual property. Yeah. And defending it against people that would take it, you know, and I think that every single day and being able to do that every day. Yeah. You know, it has a it gives you a purpose and it makes you feel like it’s fulfilling. Right. And it kind of like, you know, and Victor, thank you for your service.
Speaker 4
But like we’re both giving that.
Speaker 3
Oh thank you guys for sure.
Speaker 4
Yeah. It was always fun. Yeah. You hear the sound of freedom flying around.
Speaker 3
Absolutely. Here. Yeah. So,
Speaker 4
I think it kind of reflects that in a big way. Yeah. In the four years that I’ve been here.
Speaker 3
Well, thou shall not steal. Yeah. So we got a hammer. Those people that do. That’s right. Okay. How about you, Victor? Other than this great Jackson Tucky whiskey that you were distilling in Jack speech, that helps all kinds of causes, doesn’t it? Yeah. Men, women, all different age of age. All right, all right, there you go. He’s legal.
Speaker 3
So your third batch, is that correct?
Speaker 5
Yeah.
Speaker 3
So the tell us about it.
Speaker 5
First. So yeah, the Jackson tucky, it’s our third batch of our bottled in bond. We’ve been putting it out now for three years. So we were here a couple of years ago with our with our first batch. We’ve done, three single barrel cask strength Bourbons from our distillery that have gone to the San Francisco World Spirit competition.
Speaker 5
Oh, wow. Each has won a gold or double gold wow. Or baton a thousand, which is kind of crazy when you think that we make it from scratch. Right?
Speaker 3
And that’s fantastic. I’ve been in there. It’s a cool place. Yeah. You guys a little scientist back there drumming it all up and.
Speaker 5
It’s just a mile from the house, which is.
Speaker 3
Even better. Walk home from work. That’s why she’s not walking in a straight line. I works in the distillery.
Speaker 5
And it pairs really well with cybersecurity. You would you would not be surprised that people that are tasked with keeping their their businesses and enterprises safe, yeah, have an affinity for really good whiskey. So.
Speaker 3
Yeah. Okay. There you go. There you go. Jess. How about you helping? People’s got to be something you’re into. They’re happy about.
Speaker 1
It’s why I’m in the business that I’m in. Yeah. You know, we have all these big customers. They’re big companies. They’re big enterprises. But in Jacksonville, their customers are our neighbors. Our friends. Yeah, right. The grocery store teachers. So Halloween. Yes. You know, you’re my kids used to trick or treat at Victor’s house. Okay. Until recently. Oh, right.
Speaker 1
Sorry. Like, you know, it’s like you’re taking care of your community. Yeah. And I don’t think there’s anything more rewarding than that.
Speaker 3
Yeah. No doubt. Great answer. Spencer, you get the last word. What do you. What’s the favorite part of what you do in your life?
Speaker 2
Yeah, so I’ve told my kids, if you keep two things in mind, everything will work out no matter what it is. If you’re helpful and grateful, it’ll work out. So I’m thankful that I can help women get the right diagnosis and right treatment because it not only helps them, helps everyone around them.
Speaker 3
No doubt, no doubt. Empathy is a good thing to write for people. I know this a happy life. Everyone says happy wife, happy life. I say happy life, happy wife. So make sure she’s happy.
Speaker 2
Like.
Speaker 3
